Damaged ships and warehouses
Additionally, the bulk carrier "OPTIMA" under Palau's flag was damaged for the second time.
"A week ago, this ship was already damaged by a ballistic missile strike. Foreign crew members were injured then. The other vessel damaged today, the 'NS Moon,' sails under the flag of Belize," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
Furthermore, during the attack, a grain warehouse, cargo cranes, storage facilities, equipment, buildings of the Maritime Ports Authority, and vehicles were damaged.
Russia attacked with a single ballistic missile
Kiper noted that Russian terrorists attacked Odesa with a single ballistic missile.
According to investigators, around 11:50 AM on October 14, Russian armed forces launched missile strikes on Odesa's port infrastructure.
"The inspection is ongoing, and the final numbers of casualties and injuries, as well as the full extent of destruction and damage, are being determined," the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office reported.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched on charges of violating the laws and customs of war (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office.
Russian attacks on Odesa
Russian forces have been consistently shelling Odesa in recent weeks. The port and port infrastructure have been repeatedly targeted.
For example, Russian forces launched ballistic missile strikes on Odesa region on October 11. Four people were killed, and 10 others were injured.
On October 9, Russian forces attacked the port infrastructure in the Odesa region. At that time, the invaders shelled a civilian container ship under the flag of Panama. Nine people were killed, and eight were injured.
This tactic is not new for Russia. Last fall, during the shipment of grain and other products from Ukraine, the occupiers also carried out a series of attacks on ports and ships involved in this type of export.
