Russians attack Khmelnytskyi region at night, August 19, casualties reported
On the night of August 19, Russia attacked the Khmelnytskyi region once again, resulting in injured civilians, according to the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration.
"Last night, during an air raid alarm, the Khmelnytskyi region was once again targeted by the enemy," said Serhii Tyurin, the First Deputy Chief of the Regional Military Administration.
30 buildings were damaged by explosive waves in several villages in the Khmelnytskyi region. Windows and doors were shattered in 32 residential buildings.
Furthermore, two women were wounded as a result of the Russian attack, suffering injuries from glass fragments. Six more individuals were rushed to the hospital in a state of shock.
The Regional Military Administration reports that operational teams are continuing to assess the consequences of the enemy's attack.
Russian attack
On the night of August 19, Russian invaders launched another Shahed drone attack on Ukraine. The Russian army launched 17 drones from the Kursk region in Russia. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down 15 kamikaze drones.
Explosions were heard in the Khmelnytskyi region. Local authorities confirmed the operation of air defense systems in the region. Later, explosions were also reported in the Zaporizhzhia region.
