Russians admit their ship Tsezar Kunikov destroyed: Ukrainian intel intercepts conversation
The Russian occupiers admit that the large amphibious assault ship Tsezar Kunikov has gone down. This is evidenced by the intercepted radio communications of the Russians, according to the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
Ukrainian Intelligence intercepted Russian conversations from the site of the ship's destruction. One of the occupants reports that he "observes wreckage and an oily stain".
The DIU notes that the occupiers' Ka-52 and Mi-8 helicopters are inspecting the shipwreck. An An-26 military transport aircraft is acting as a repeater of the information.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, the Tsezar Kunikov had been moored for ten days at a specialized berth wall, from which the Russian occupiers loaded ships with military weapons and equipment. According to a preliminary assessment of the ship's draft, it was loaded at the time of the sinking.
