On the night of July 11, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with Iskander-M missiles and drones. Ukrainian air defense shot down all Russian drones, according to Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.

"On the night of July 11, Russia struck Sumy region with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles from the Kursk region and attacked with 6 Shahed-131/136 attack UAVs from the Russian city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk," he says.

According to Oleshchuk, fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units of the Air Force, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved in combat operations.

"Russian drones were shot down in Mykolaiv, Khmelnytskyi, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions," the general states.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

Russian troops often attack Ukraine in a combined manner, using both drones and missiles.

For example, on July 10, Russian troops shelled Ukraine with 20 drones and one Iskander-M missile. The port infrastructure of the Odesa region was hit. Two people were killed and one was injured. The air defense system shot down 14 drones.

In addition, on July 7, the Russian occupiers struck Ukraine with two Iskander-M missiles.
