Russian troops mobilize reserves to seize Novomykhailivka, Ukrainian military says

Russian forces are deploying reserves to capture Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. There are currently more enemy assaults in this direction of the front than near Avdiivka, according to the spokesperson of the Tavria operational-strategic group, Dmytro Lykhoviy.
According to him, in the area of Novomykhailivka, the enemy is concentrating significant reserves and deploying reinforcements to capture the village.
"There are more assaults there every day than in the Avdiivka direction. For example, yesterday there were 20 assaults in the Avdiivka direction, and in Novomykhailivka and its outskirts, there were 30 assaults. But the defense holds, the enemy is making huge efforts, but has no success at all," Lykhoviy said.

Fighting in the Novomykhailivka area
In January, Russian occupiers completely captured the ruined town of Maryinka near Donetsk. After that, the invaders had a new target in this direction. As previously stated by the spokesperson for the Defense Forces of the Tavria direction, Oleksandr Shtupun, the enemy was actively trying to enter Novomykhailivka to capture it completely.
