On the Siverskyi direction, units of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade of the 7th Assault Corps of the Airborne Forces continue to hold positions near Serebrianka, despite difficult conditions and strained logistical support.

According to the military, the enemy is using Serebrianskyi Forest as a staging area to amass troops, position strike drone operators, and prepare assaults toward Serebrianka and Dronivka. In recent days, Russian forces have increased pressure specifically on Dronivka, but Ukrainian paratroopers are repelling them during infiltration attempts into the settlement.

The enemy mostly operates in small groups, using camouflage systems like Kikimora and anti-thermal cloaks. Assault and sabotage operations continue around the clock, but each time they encounter organized and fierce resistance from Ukrainian paratroopers.

In November alone, fighters of the 81st Brigade eliminated 140 occupiers, another 105 Russian soldiers were wounded, and three were taken prisoner. In addition, 34 units of enemy equipment were destroyed or damaged, including tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, Ulan buggies, and multiple launch rocket systems.

At the same time, the enemy has stepped up activity along the Siverskyi Donets River, attempting to carry out crossings in certain areas. The main objective is to infiltrate Zakytne and secure dominant heights, control of which is critically important for the defense of Ukrainian positions.

Situation in Siversk

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin on December 11 once again claimed alleged "successes" by the Russian army, publicly announcing the "capture" of Siversk in Donetsk region. However, these statements, as before, do not correspond to the real situation on the front line.

As early as December 10, Ukrainian military officials reported that despite the tense situation in the Siversk area, information about the city being under the control of Russian occupiers was fake. The Defense Forces continue fighting for the settlement and are inflicting significant losses on the enemy attempting to infiltrate the city.

On December 12, Putin and Russian propaganda suffered another blow: the command of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine Khartiia reported a successful Ukrainian counterattack near Kupiansk. According to the report, more than 200 Russian troops were blocked in the city, Kupiansk was almost completely cleared, and enemy losses during the counteroffensive actions alone exceeded one thousand killed.
