Russian shelling of State Emergency Service units in Ukraine
After the start of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russian troops adopted the tactic of shelling rescue units in Ukraine.
Moreover, the SES units in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions are under fire. Thus, on the night of April 1, Russian troops attacked Kharkiv region. A fire station was damaged. In addition, in November last year, two rescue units in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions were damaged.
The Russian occupiers also used the tactic of repeated attacks in Kharkiv. In particular, they deliberately re-attack facilities that were shelled a few minutes earlier when police and rescuers arrived.
