Police showed a second strike in Kharkiv, which killed three rescuers. Another rescue worker and a police officer were also injured, according to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Police Investigation Department, Serhii Bolvinov, and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko.

On the night of April 4, the Russian army struck Kharkiv with drones for the second time, when all services had already arrived at the scene. The tragedy occurred in the Novobavarskyi district, where Russians shelled residential.

"Three employees of the State Emergency Service and a civilian woman were killed on the spot. The police investigator and the operative who filmed the footage managed to escape," Bolvinov says.

Another rescuer was wounded in the second attack, his condition is serious. A police officer was also wounded and is undergoing surgery. The victims have shrapnel wounds.

The killed rescuers were drivers of fire and rescue equipment. His names are Lohinov Vladyslav, Baidalinov Serhii, and Matiushenko Volodymyr.

"Vladyslav will forever be 52, Serhii - 32, and Volodymyr - 41. They will remain in our ranks forever. The entire large family of the Ministry of Internal Affairs sympathizes with the grief of the victims' families," the Interior Minister writes on social media.

Rescuers could have been saved

The spokesperson for the State Emergency Service of Kharkiv region told Radio Liberty that three rescuers were killed by a Russian strike while pulling people out of the rubble from the previous Russian strike.

He explains that when there is a threat of a second attack, rescuers go for cover. But this time, there was a person under the rubble at the site of the attack, so they had to act immediately.

Despite the second strike and the deaths of their colleagues, the rescuers in Kharkiv completed the search and rescue operation and saved the man.

That night, Russians attacked Kharkiv with kamikaze drones. The enemy directed the Shaheeds at high-rise buildings and private homes.

In addition, when rescuers and police arrived at the scene, the occupiers struck again. According to the latest reports, four people were killed and 12 people were injured in the attack.
