Russian troops advance on the front, DeepState reveals what’s happening

Analysts from the DeepState monitoring project have reported the advance of Russian troops in the Donetsk region. According to experts, the occupying forces managed to improve their positions near the village of Udachne in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the DeepState monitoring project.
Advance near Udachne
According to the DeepState project, a change in the front line was recorded near this populated area. "The enemy advanced near Udachne," the analysts reported on Sunday, March 8.
The experts also updated the combat map, which indicates the advance of Russian units in the vicinity of the village.
Situation in the Pokrovsk direction
In its evening report as of 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time on March 8, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces also reported active attempts by Russian troops to advance in this section of the front.
"The Russian units tried to advance near the settlements of Shakhove, Myrnohrad, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, and towards the settlements of Shevchenko and Serhiivka," the statement said.
Intensity of attacks
According to the General Staff, 18 attacks by Russian forces were recorded in the Pokrovsk direction over the past day. At the time the report was posted, one of the combat engagements was ongoing.
Losses of the Russian army
The Ukrainian military reported significant enemy losses in this section of the front. According to the General Staff, Ukrainian defenders destroyed one artillery system, 12 units of special equipment, and two vehicles.
In addition, a tank, seven artillery systems, two vehicles, two units of special equipment, and 11 enemy shelters were damaged. Ukrainian forces also destroyed or suppressed 158 drones of various types.
In the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region, raids and checks on the local population have become noticeably more frequent. According to Ukrainian sources, an increase in repressive actions is being recorded in Henichesk, Skadovsk, Nova Kakhovka, and other settlements in the region, reflecting the Russian tightening of control over the local population.
The advisor to the Minister of Defense, Serhii Beskrestnov, stated that Russian forces are using large numbers of cheap reconnaissance drones based on the Molniya UAV, which have replaced the previously used expensive attack drones.
