A Russian Su-30SM fighter jet crashed in the Kaliningrad region of Russia. Both pilots ejected but sustained injuries, according to REN TV.

According to media reports, the crash occurred in the Chernyakhovsk district of the Kaliningrad region.

The Su-30SM military aircraft crashed between the settlements of Timofeyevka and Zeleny Bor.

According to preliminary information, the fighter jet's crew managed to eject before the crash. However, both pilots sustained injuries of varying severity and were hospitalized.

Specialists are currently investigating the causes and circumstances of the military aircraft crash.

Russian Su-35 and Su-30SM2 fighter jets are being actively equipped with new R-37M air-to-air missiles, which have a range of up to 320 km, significantly exceeding the capabilities of the previous R-77-1 missiles.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces continue to carry out strikes against enemy aircraft.

In particular, special forces from the National Guard's Omega Special Purpose Center destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber at the Saky military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.
