Russian strikes leave residents without power across 8 Ukrainian regions

On Thursday, September 24, consumers in several regions of Ukraine remain without power. However, according to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, no power restrictions are expected today.
Power supply
Due to Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv regions remain without electricity. In areas where the security situation allows, specialists are carrying out restoration work.
Adverse weather conditions have caused additional outages. As of this morning, power is out in over 600 settlements in the Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions.
No restrictions are expected
No power restrictions are forecast for today. In case of changes, consumers are advised to monitor announcements on the official websites of distribution system operators.
At the same time, Ukrainians are urged to reduce the load on the power grid during the evening hours whenever possible and to use electricity sparingly from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
On the night of September 24, Russia launched a combined strike against Ukraine with anti-ship and ballistic missiles, as well as 282 attack drones. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed most of the Russian drones.
