On-site assistance
At the scene, specialists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, together with representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross rapid response team, have set up aid stations.
They are providing necessary support to people in the area where the work is taking place.
Meals for the personnel involved in the cleanup efforts were provided by the World Central Kitchen team.

Rescue and emergency recovery operations continued throughout the night. These efforts were complicated by repeated air raid alerts, which forced specialists to interrupt their work.
Rescuers continue to dismantle damaged structures and survey the scene.
Russian troops attacked Zhytomyr on August 19 with Banerol rocket-powered drones, one of which struck the building of the Zhytomyr Regional Police Headquarters.
