As a result of a massive nighttime Russian attack, power outages were reported in the Odesa region. As of the morning of October 2, 46,600 residents remain temporarily without power, according to Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper.

On the night of October 2, Russian troops again attacked civilian infrastructure in the region. Despite the work of air defense forces, one of the transport infrastructure facilities was damaged.

Power outages were reported. In the morning, power engineers were able to restore power to the damaged networks from various sources where it was technically possible.

"Currently, 11,300 customers already have power. 46,600 consumers remain temporarily without power. Repair work is ongoing," the report says.

One transport infrastructure worker was injured in the strikes, suffering shrapnel wounds.

In addition, a private house was destroyed, with damage to the roof and windows, and another person was injured.

Currently, State Emergency Service of Ukraine units are dealing with the aftermath of the strike, and law enforcement officers are documenting yet another crime committed by the Russians against the civilian population of the Odesa region.

Last night, Russia struck the railway infrastructure of Odesa, Kyiv region, and northern Ukraine. A train driver was injured, trains were delayed, but traffic was eventually restored.

Russia also struck the railway infrastructure of border communities in the north, in particular in Konotop.
