Nine people were killed as a result of a combined Russian strike on Ternopil on the night of November 19. More than 20 others were wounded, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

Svyrydenko held an online meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs and the heads of the Ternopil, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. She heard reports on the consequences of the Russian attack and further cleanup efforts.

"Russia continues to terrorize our people and our cities. This time, the western regions of the country were under attack. As of now, there are 9 known fatalities in Ternopil, and 22 more people are injured. My condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims," the prime minister said.

According to her, State Emergency Service rescuers are dealing with the aftermath and clearing the rubble. Resilience centers are operating.

Additional infrastructure has been deployed to support people: heating points and food distribution points. Investigators are working to document the crime.

“The government is in contact with the regions and will provide all necessary assistance,” Svyrydenko added.

Strike on Ternopil

Russian troops launched a combined strike on Ternopil on the night of November 19. Enemy drones and missiles attacked the city.

In the morning, it became known that houses had been damaged in Ternopil and there were casualties.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, said that a multi-story building had been destroyed in Ternopil.

The Ternopil Regional Military Administration confirmed that residential buildings in the city had been hit. City authorities reported disruptions to public transport.

Russian troops also carried out a massive attack on Kharkiv with Geran-2 kamikaze drones at night. At least 36 people were injured in the attak, including two children.

The Russians also attacked Lviv.
