Russian strike on Kryvyi Rih on Christmas Eve: Casualties rise
In Kryvyi Rih, the number of casualties after a Russian attack has risen to 17. Russia shelled the city on December 24, according to the Interior Ministry of Ukraine.
“Kryvyi Rih. Yesterday's Russian missile attack killed 1 person and injured 17 others, including 2 children,” the report says.
According to law enforcement, emergency rescue operations have been completed.
Consequences of Russian attack
In the building struck by Russia, the entrance from the fourth to the first floor was destroyed.
Another 4 apartment buildings were damaged. 9 shops, 3 restaurants, and over 2 dozen cars were also damaged.
Russian shelling of Kryvyi Rih
Around 4 p.m. Kyiv time on December 24, Ukraine was alerted to the threat of ballistic missiles. Almost immediately Russia struck Kryvyi Rih.
A residential building came under fire, and there were reports of casualties. Initially, five wounded were reported in Kryvyi Rih. Two of them were taken out from under the rubble.
Later, the number of injured began to increase, and one person died. Earlier, 15 wounded were reported in Kryvyi Rih after the Russian shelling.
