On Tuesday, December 24, the Russian army struck Kryvyi Rih, with an enemy missile hitting a residential building, according to the Telegram channels of Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, and Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the Kryvyi Rih Defense Council.

"The enemy struck Kryvyi Rih, damaging a residential building. Information is being clarified. We are also determining whether there are any casualties," said Lysak.

According to Vilkul, the Russian forces used ballistic missiles.

"The 'high-precision' monsters hit a 4-story residential building with 32 apartments directly. We are all already on-site, and emergency services are working. Unfortunately, we are preparing for grim news," he added.

Preliminary reports indicate that five people were injured in Kryvyi Rih. Two of them were rescued from under the rubble and are receiving necessary medical assistance.

The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, shared photos of the aftermath of the enemy strike.

"While other countries around the world celebrate Christmas, Ukrainians continue to suffer from the endless Russian attacks. The terrorists do not understand human morality. They understand nothing but force," wrote the ombudsman.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, the number of those injured in Kryvyi Rih has risen to six. Half of them are in the hospital: two women, aged 69 and 72, and a 78-year-old man. All are in moderate condition.

The rest of the wounded received assistance at the scene.

According to Lysak, four people were rescued from the rubble in Kryvyi Rih.

There are currently seven injured. One woman is in serious condition.

On Tuesday afternoon, December 24, an explosion occurred in Kryvyi Rih. An air raid alert was declared in the Dnipropetrovsk region and other parts of Ukraine due to the threat of ballistic missiles.
