Russian strike on gas station in Zaporizhzhia sparks fire: Fatality reported, footage

Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia today, July 9, targeting a gas station, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.
"Russians struck a gas station in the regional center with a drone. A man was injured," Fedorov said.
According to him, the victim is already receiving medical assistance.
No further details about the attack have been released so far.

According to Fedorov, one person was killed in the strike on the gas station, while three others were injured.
He added that the attack sparked a fire, destroying several vehicles and the gas station itself.
Attacks on gas stations
Russian forces have recently intensified strikes on gas stations in frontline regions.
Against this backdrop, major gas station chain WOG has introduced special operating hours in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and parts of the Poltava regions.
In particular, WOG stations are closed daily from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Recently, Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said after a meeting that security measures at gas stations in frontline regions would be strengthened.
The Cabinet of Ministers has also pledged to ensure an uninterrupted fuel supply despite ongoing Russian attacks.
