In Ukraine, the Russian missile and drone attack caused damage at 44 locations. Most of them, 28 sites, are in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, according to Yurii Ihnat, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force Command.

Ihnat noted that a more detailed final assessment of the Russian attack will be possible in the evening or even the following day, since the geography of Russia’s strikes was wide, not limited to the capital. The enemy also attacked the Odesa, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

"Overall, as of today, we have damage at 44 locations across the country. The vast majority is in the Kyiv region, 28 sites," he said.

According to Ihnat, there were direct hits, but most of the damage resulted from falling debris of destroyed missiles and drones. This is mainly because the Russian forces actively used ballistic missiles against Kyiv.

"These were 9 Iskander-M and KN-23 missiles. Six of the nine missiles were intercepted by air defense. In particular, Patriot systems, as the President of Ukraine noted, indeed performed effectively today. Two aeroballistic Kinzhal missiles were also shot down," Ihnat added.
