Russian strike hits humanitarian demining mission in Ukrainian Chernihiv

A Russian missile strike on Chernihiv killed one person and injured two others. The attack targeted staff of a humanitarian demining mission, according to Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration.
Today, September 4, Russian forces carried out a missile strike on a checkpoint at the entrance to the settlement of Novoselivka from Chernihiv.
According to the latest data, one person was killed and two others were injured.

According to the head of the Military Administration, the Russians struck employees of a humanitarian demining mission who were carrying out work to clear the area of mines and other explosive objects.
Local authorities remind the population about the danger and urge them to remain in shelters until the end of air raid alerts.

At 14:53 an air raid alert was announced in Ukraine due to the threat of a ballistic strike from Russia. Already at 14:58 explosions were reported within Chernihiv.

Also earlier this night, Russia carried out attacks with Shahed kamikaze drones towards Ukraine, which caused air raid alerts to be declared in several regions.
Later it became known that in Sumy region Russian forces attacked energy facilities, as a result of which the city of Sumy and the Sumy district were partially left without electricity.
