Russian soldiers being sent to Kursk direction for refusing to extend their contracts - ATESH
Russian soldiers are being sent to the Kursk direction for refusing to extend their contracts. There they will face "meat assaults," according to the Telegram channel of the ATESH partisan movement.
An agent of the ATESH partisan movement within the Russian Armed Forces reports pressure on soldiers from the command of the 64th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade.
"Service members are being forced to sign contracts for at least 3 years, and those who refuse will be transferred to the Kursk direction. Meanwhile, the command is subtly hinting at how their journey will end – 'resetting' in the 'meat assaults'," the partisans said.
Operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region
In the summer of 2024, Ukrainian defenders managed to break through the border and enter the territory of the Kursk region.
Russian troops managed to reclaim part of their territory, but the Ukrainian army continues to maintain control over dozens of settlements in the region, including the city of Sudzha.
To push Ukrainian forces out, the Russians even enlisted North Korean soldiers, who are suffering significant losses there.
Additionally, for the first time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces captured two North Korean military personnel in the Kursk region. One of them was captured on January 9.
According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region, the Russian army lost more than 38,000 soldiers.
