A 15-year-old teenager was killed in a Russian drone attack on Odesa region. The enemy deliberately targeted residential areas, and a fire broke out in the port, according to Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration.

Casualties and injuries

"A 15-year-old teenager was killed in the attack. Three people were hospitalized with injuries and burns," he says.

In addition, four more people received medical care on the spot and continue to be treated outpatient.

Fire in the port

A fire broke out in one of the port terminals due to a hit, which was quickly extinguished.

"People were not injured," states Kiper.

Russians deliberately hit residential areas

According to the head of the JMA, the enemy deliberately targeted residential areas of Odesa's sleeping districts and suburbs around midnight, where people were gathering in their homes to celebrate the New Year with their families.

"At least 3 high-rise apartment buildings, 3 private houses, and outbuildings were damaged as a result of the downed UAVs," he lists the consequences, adding that air defense systems shot down 28 enemy drones.

Russian troops once again fired at Ukraine with kamikaze drones. The enemy launched 90 drones and 8 missiles. The main impact was in the south of Ukraine.
