On Saturday, March 22, Russian forces shelled the city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. According to the latest information, the number of casualties has increased, reports Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration.

Filashkin informed that, as of 6:50 PM (Kyiv time), the number of victims in Pokrovsk had risen to three dead and one injured.

Before the update, Filashkin wrote that as a result of today’s Russian shelling, at least two people had been killed and three others injured in the Donetsk region.

"In Pokrovsk, Russians killed a 41-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman. In Kramatorsk, one person was injured, and we are assessing the extent of the damage. In Rozlyv, part of the Velikonovosilkivska community, two people were injured by an FPV drone strike. Additionally, the identities of two individuals who died from yesterday’s strike on Siversk have been established," the statement reads.

The head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration emphasized that the enemy is attacking civilians every day, and new victims continue to appear daily. He called on Ukrainians to act responsibly and evacuate.

Recently, the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported that a pretrial investigation had been launched in connection with today’s murders in Pokrovsk. The type of weapon used by the Russians to attack the city is currently being determined.
