Russian forces attacked Kyiv with drones and ballistic missiles on the night of August 5. At least one fatality has been reported so far, with the number of injured steadily rising, according to the Telegram channel of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

As of 02:10 Kyiv time, a woman was killed by the enemy in the capital, the administration reported. Five injuries had also been reported at that time. However, just half an hour later, the number of injured rose once again.

"The number of injured as a result of the Russian attack has risen to 12. Rescue operations are ongoing, and information is being updated," the statement reads.

Approximately an hour earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko wrote on his Telegram channel that an ambulance driver was among the injured. The ambulance itself was damaged by secondary explosions.

Attack on Kyiv

On the night of August 5, Kyiv came under yet another massive attack involving missiles and drones. Consequences have so far been recorded at more than seven locations across the Holosiivskyi, Obolonskyi, Desnianskyi, and Sviatoshynskyi districts of the capital.

According to local authorities, residential infrastructure has been damaged, fires have broken out at warehouse facilities, and an ammonia leak occurred in Holosiivskyi district — which has since been contained.
