Russian opens fire on people at Montenegro shooting club

Montenegro is conducting an extensive manhunt for a 30-year-old Russian national suspected of a triple murder near Danilovgrad. Law enforcement has currently concentrated search efforts in one of the coastal municipalities, according to Montenegrin broadcaster N1.
According to law enforcement, Russian Federation citizen Mikhail Shabunin opened fire on people at the Češka zbrojevka shooting club near Danilovgrad on the afternoon of August 31. Three employees of the facility were killed.
After committing the crime, Shabunin may have fled in a black Seat Cordoba, which law enforcement later found in Rogami. Police are continuing search operations in Herceg Novi and are urging citizens not to approach the suspect independently but to immediately notify police.
What is known about the Russian suspect
According to data cited by Russian media, before the shooting, the suspect visited the shooting club in Danilovgrad several times and trained there. On the day of the tragedy, he allegedly first fired test shots, after which he entered the premises and opened fire on employees.
According to Russian media, 30-year-old Mikhail Shabunin, a native of Perm, was enthusiastic about trail running (running in nature in the mountains—ed.), hiking, and mountain skiing, as well as carving wooden utensils. Recently, he had allegedly been looking for work in the food service sector.
