Russian night attack on Vinnytsia leaves houses damaged and powerless

Tonight, September 27, Russian forces carried out a massive attack on the Vinnytsia region. The enemy struck critical infrastructure and damaged residential buildings, according to a Telegram post by Natalia Zabolotna, First Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration.
“As a result of the massive enemy attack on the Vinnytsia region tonight, there were hits on critical infrastructure,” the statement said.
In addition, a residential building was damaged by the attack, including broken windows and a damaged roof. No information has been reported about casualties or injuries.
Zabolotna also reported that a fire had broken out.
“As of 06:30 Kyiv time, the fire has been extinguished. Train traffic has been restored,” she wrote.
Currently, one residential building remains without electricity. Restoration work to resume the power supply is ongoing.
“In total, 48 personnel and 13 pieces of equipment have been involved in eliminating the consequences. Thanks to the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Vinnytsia region and other services for their professional work,” the deputy head of the regional administration summarized.

On the night of September 25, Russian forces also attempted to attack the Vinnytsia region with drones. That night, the enemy struck critical infrastructure and hit energy facilities.
In addition, the attack left 300 households without electricity and caused disruptions to train traffic.
