Russian forces attacked Ukraine's Kyiv region overnight on January 20. As a result of the strike, a 50-year-old man was killed, and gas stations were damaged, Kyiv Regional Military Administration head Mykola Kalashnyk reported.

"Overnight, the enemy once again carried out a treacherous strike on Ukraine's Kyiv region. As a result of the massive attack in Bucha district, a 50-year-old man sustained fatal injuries," Kalashnyk said.

According to him, medics fought for his life, but unfortunately, they were unable to save him. The man died at the scene.

As a result of the overnight attack on Ukraine's Kyiv region, the premises of two gas stations were also damaged.

"The air raid alert is ongoing. I urge residents of the region not to ignore danger signals, to stay in safe places, and to take care of themselves and their loved ones," the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration added.

Overnight on January 20, Russia again attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones. Powerful explosions were heard in the city, and disruptions to the electricity and water supply were recorded.

In particular, following the enemy strike, operating schedules on parts of the metro lines in the capital were changed due to the consequences of the latest attacks and the difficult power supply situation, which affected train schedules on certain lines.

As of the morning, following the overnight combined Russian attack, 5,635 apartment buildings in Kyiv remain without heating. In addition, the entire left bank of the capital has been left without water. One person injured in the Dniprovskyi district as a result of the enemy attack is hospitalized in one of the city's hospitals.
