On the night of June 11, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv. The enemy struck residential buildings, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries, according to the Telegram channel of Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov.

The enemy began attacking the city at approximately 00:33 Kyiv time. At that time, residents heard numerous explosions, after which reports of strikes and impacts emerged.

The Osnovianskyi and Slobidskyi districts of the city came under Russian attack. In both areas, residential buildings were hit and fires were reported. Later, it was confirmed that there were casualties and injuries.

"More than 15 apartments are burning in a five-story building. There are injured people. At another location, people may be trapped under the rubble," he wrote at 01:13.

A few minutes later, Terekhov added that there was information about one person killed and at least 10 injured.

"According to information from our Situation Center, 17 strikes by enemy UAVs were carried out on two districts of the city tonight," the mayor reported.

Terekhov wrote that 28 people were injured in Kharkiv due to the Russian attack. One more person has died.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the enemy attacked the Osnovianskyi and Slobidskyi districts of Kharkiv.

The enemy used around 17 Geran-2 type UAVs for the attack. As a result of the strike, the following were damaged:

  • civilian apartment buildings;
  • private houses;
  • municipal enterprises;
  • city businesses.

"Twenty-eight civilians have sought medical assistance, including three children. Unfortunately, as of now, two people have died," a representative of the prosecutor's office reported.

"The number of injured has increased as a result of the terrorist night attack on the city. Currently, there are 37 wounded, including 5 children. The death toll remains at two," the city mayor reported.

Attacks on Kharkiv

Russia regularly attacks Kharkiv with drones, aerial bombs, and various types of missiles.

In particular, on the evening of June 7, the enemy struck the city with four KAB bombs. As a result of the attack, damage was reported in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts.

One of the hits was on the children’s railway. Overall, two buildings of the children’s railway, four carriages, two private houses, and an outbuilding were damaged. Additionally, many people were injured.

The city was attacked by more than 50 drones, aerial bombs, and missiles. The attack damaged 18 apartment buildings and 13 private houses. There were also injuries and fatalities.
