Russian missile strike on Mykolaiv: Number of casualties increases
The number of casualties in Mykolaiv increased as a result of nighttime Russian shelling. More than 20 people were wounded, according to the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitalii Kim.
“As of now, the number of wounded has increased to 23. People continue to go to medical institutions,” Kim says.
On the night of October 15, the Russian army attacked Mykolaiv with S-300 anti-aircraft missiles. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the Russians fired 7 missiles at the city.
Consequences of Russian attack
Local authorities reported that the Russian shelling in Mykolaiv damaged a restaurant complex, residential buildings, an infrastructure facility, trade pavilions, other buildings, and cars.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, one person was killed. Initially, 16 people were reported to have suffered injuries of varying severity.
Several large fires broke out in Mykolaiv as a result of the Russian missile strike. They were extinguished. Rescuers showed the consequences of the Russian shelling of the city.
