Massive fires and ruined homes: Aftermath of Russian strike on Mykolaiv
The Russian army launched a missile strike on Mykolaiv on the night of October 15. As a result of the attack, fires broke out, and buildings in the city were damaged, according to the State Emergency Service.
The missile strike damaged an infrastructure facility, private residential buildings, and cars in one of Mykolaiv's residential areas. Fires broke out due to the shelling, which had already been extinguished. One fire covered an area of 400 square meters, while the other was smaller, at 30 square meters.
Additionally, a restaurant complex and trade pavilions caught fire in another area. The fire was localized over an area of 1,400 square meters, and efforts to extinguish it continue.
A woman was killed in the missile attack. It is also known that 16 people were injured, suffering injuries of varying degrees of severity. They are receiving necessary medical assistance.

Fires extinguished
The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the fires in Mykolaiv had been extinguished following the night shelling. Law enforcement agencies are documenting the consequences of the enemy attack.

From the evening of October 14, it became known that the Russians had launched strike drones over Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 17 "Shaheds" were launched. Air defense forces shot down 12 drones, while four drones were lost from radar. As of the morning, one Shahed remained in the air.
Additionally, the occupiers launched two guided Kh-59 air missiles at Chernihiv and Sumy regions. It is also known that the occupiers attacked Mykolaiv with seven S-300 anti-aircraft missiles.
