Russian missile strike on Kyiv: Number of injured rises again
The number of people injured in Kyiv due to the Russian morning missile strike has increased to 11. Efforts to eliminate the consequences are ongoing, the Kyiv City Military Administration reports.
As of now, we know about:
- One person has been killed;
- 11 people have been injured, five of whom were hospitalized. The others received medical assistance at the scene.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the elimination of the consequences of the shelling continues:
- Holosiivskyi district: five cars were burned, a gas pipeline was damaged, and a fire in a business center was extinguished. Preparations are underway for debris removal;
- Shevchenkivskyi district: a fire in an administrative building was extinguished. Work on dismantling structures continues;
- Pecherskyi district: fires in a car and garage were extinguished.
"120 rescuers and over 30 equipment units are involved in the work. Information is being updated," added the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Shelling of Kyiv and region
Russian terrorists are systematically carrying out attacks on Ukrainian territories, posing a serious danger to the civilian population and its safety. These strikes use various weapons, including missile systems, artillery, drones, and air bombs.
This morning, on December 20, Russian military forces launched another missile attack on the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv. After an air raid alert was issued, several explosions were heard in the city.
Later, the Kyiv City Military Administration released information and images of the destruction caused by the shelling.
