In Kyiv, a transformer substation was destroyed as a result of a Russian overnight missile attack. Power grids were also damaged, according to DTEK (Ukraine's main energy company - ed.).

"This morning, missile debris damaged the power grid and completely demolished the transformer station in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital," the statement reads.

By 8:10 AM, power restoration efforts managed to revive electricity for the majority of buildings using backup sources. However, as of 8:45 AM, approximately 10 private residences and one commercial establishment remained without power. DTEK has pledged to restore the full electricity supply by the day's end.

Night attack

On the night of May 31, Russians fired an Iskander-K cruise missile at Kyiv, which was shot down, but its debris fell in the capital. The attack caused a fire and damaged some facilities, including a service station, car wash, cars, and a warehouse.

Besides, the occupiers targeted Kharkiv with S-300 missiles, causing extensive destruction to a five-story building and other properties. Tragically, five individuals lost their lives in the Kharkiv attack, with at least 25 reported injuries.
