Russian missile carriers in Black Sea: Possible Kalibr missiles salvo revealed
This morning, the Black Sea recorded the presence of four Russian ships, including Kalibr cruise missile carriers, according to the Ukrainian Navy.
The military department clarified that there are two missile carriers in the Black Sea.
According to the Navy, this ship group might have a salvo of up to 12 missiles.
Meanwhile, two Russian ships were observed in the Sea of Azov, none of which are Kalibr cruise missile carriers.
Additionally, one enemy ship was spotted in the Mediterranean Sea, also without Kalibr carriers.
During the day, in the interests of the Russian Federation, the Kerch Strait was navigated by:
- 2 vessels to the Black Sea, none of which continued towards the Bosphorus Strait;
- 6 vessels to the Sea of Azov, 4 of which moved from the Bosphorus Strait.
The Ukrainian Navy added that Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling automatic identification systems (AIS).
Earlier, Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk said that Ukraine's Defense Forces have destroyed 28 Russian ships.
Additionally, a Navy representative mentioned that Russia has learned to refuel submarines with cruise missiles. Currently, loading is taking place in the Russian city of Novorossiysk.
