Massive attack on Ukraine on January 2

On January 2, Russian occupiers repeated the large-scale shelling of Ukraine, just like on December 29. Initially, the Russians launched 35 kamikaze drones, all of which were shot down. After that, 99 missiles of various types, including aeroballistic Kinzhal missiles, were fired across Ukraine.

The Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, reported that the air defense forces shot down 72 missiles on January 2, including all 10 Kinzhals.

The main target of the missile strike was Kyiv. The enemy launched a large number of missiles at the capital. A residential building in the Solomyanskyi district of the capital was damaged as a result of the attack. Two casualties were previously reported due to the enemy's missile strike.
