Russian missile attack on Kyiv: Casualties toll rises to 40
The number of people injured in Kyiv as a result of the Russian missile attack has increased to 40. In addition, four people have been reported killed, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration.
"According to updated information, as of this minute, 4 people were killed in a Russian missile strike on Kyiv. 40 people were injured," the statement says.
The data on the consequences of the missile attack are being clarified.
Earlier, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that three people were injured in the Dniprovskyi district of the capital as a result of the Russian attack. The rest of the victims are from the Holosiivskyi district, where a high-rise building caught fire.

This morning, the Russian occupiers fired missiles at Ukraine from strategic aviation. Ukrainian air defense system shot down a total of 44 enemy targets, including 15 drones that the Russians launched in the evening.
Against the backdrop of the missile attack, Poland sent its aircraft into the sky, and the spokesperson for the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, said that missiles had been maneuvering in the western regions of Ukraine, including toward the Polish border.
In Kyiv, explosions were heard in the morning, the city was attacked by Russian rockets. A high-rise building caught fire in the Holosiivskyi district, and power grids were damaged on the left bank. The power has now been restored in the capital.
