Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have struck Russia with a record number of attack drones, according to RIA Novosti.

Russian propagandists cite new data from the Russian Ministry of Defense. The Ministry claims that its air defense forces allegedly shot down 1,671 Ukrainian drones, 10 guided bombs, and two HIMARS rockets.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces intensified their air strikes against Russia. Against the backdrop of recent events, Russian media constantly updated figures on Ukrainian records.

"Air defense shot down 1,478 drones over Russia in the past 24 hours—an all-time record," the propagandists wrote at 12:15 p.m.

However, it later emerged that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had allegedly surpassed themselves once again.

"Air defense forces shot down 1,671 drones over Russia in the past 24 hours—this is an all-time record," RIA Novosti updated its figures at 12:39 p.m.

Russian media reported on Ukraine's largest-scale drone attack on Russia since the war began.

However, neither the Russian Ministry of Defense nor the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has yet confirmed or denied this information.

Russian authorities never disclose the number of weapons Ukraine uses to attack Russia.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported on a new attack by the Ukrainian Defense Forces on Moscow and the surrounding region, which took place on August 18.
