Russian losses in Tavria direction in past day: near 600 occupiers, dozens of equipment units

In general, in the Tavria direction, the enemy carried out 9 airstrikes, 45 combat engagements, and 1,072 artillery barrages.

In the zone of responsibility of the operational and strategic group of troops Tavria in the Avdiivka direction, the Russians do not stop trying to surround Avdiivka. Ukrainian soldiers firmly hold the defense, inflicting significant losses on the invaders.

The offensive actions of the enemy were unsuccessful in the areas of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, and east of Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region, where Ukrainian soldiers repelled 18 attacks.

In the Maryinka direction, our defenders repelled 22 enemy attacks in the Maryinka and Novomykhailivka districts of the Donetsk region.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assaults in the Prechystivka and Staromayorske districts of the Donetsk region, where the Defense Forces repelled 6 attacks.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the enemy conducted assaults near Novodarivka, Zaporizhzhia region, without success.

At the same time, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupying forces, and exhaust the enemy along the entire front line.

Enemy losses

Units of rocket troops and artillery from the operational and strategic group of troops Tavria during the day carried out 1,170 fire missions.

The total losses of the enemy amounted to 594 people, and one occupier surrendered.

Also, Ukrainian fighters destroyed 43 units of military equipment, including:

• 3 tanks;
• 5 armoured vehicles;
• 6 artillery systems;
• 1 reactive salvo fire system;
• 2 anti-tank missile complex;
• 2 anti-tank grenade launcher;
• 1 anti-aircraft vehicle;
• 19 drones;
• 4 cars.

In addition, 3 ammunition depots and another important enemy facility were destroyed. Another 30 units of Russian military equipment were damaged.

The situation at the front

According to the General Staff, as of the morning of November 16, the defense forces of Ukraine are continuing their assault operations south of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, conducting an offensive operation in the Melitopol direction, and are holding defenses in the Avdiivka area. 65 combat clashes took place last day.

In particular, as analysts of the Institute for the Study of War note, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continued to conduct offensive actions in the Bakhmut direction and advanced to the southeast of Toretsk and are advancing in the west of the Zaporizhzhia region, attacking the left bank of the Kherson region.

Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine as of the morning of Thursday, November 16, amounted to 1,330 occupiers, the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 315,620 soldiers. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 36 artillery systems 14 drones, and 40 vehicles.
