Russian Foreign Minister rejects Trump's peace plan - Ukraine's reaction
Russia is increasingly demonstrating its unwillingness to end the war. This is evidenced by the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, states the Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andrii Kovalenko.
In particular, he mentioned Lavrov's recent statement that Russia is not satisfied with the proposals of the team of US President-elect Donald Trump. These include postponing Ukraine's membership in NATO for 20 years and deploying a contingent of EU and British peacekeepers.
“I can add that Russia is increasingly demonstrating its unwillingness to end the war, even in theory,” Kovalenko writes.
He emphasized that we must now recognize the reality that Russia must be broken by “clipping” its wings by its allies, as well as by intensive destruction of Russian military logistics.
“When the economy and the military-industrial complex collapse, it won't matter what Putin and his dogs like Lavrov want. In the meantime, this is a traditional Russian tactic, multiplying nonsense to gain time,” summarized the head of the Center.
Background
To recap, Lavrov expressed Russia's disagreement in an interview with TASS.
“Of course, we are not satisfied with the proposals made on behalf of representatives of the president-elect's team to postpone Ukraine's membership in NATO for 20 years and to send a peacekeeping contingent to Ukraine,” he said.
The Russian Foreign Minister admitted that Moscow has not yet received official signals from the United States regarding the war in Ukraine.
