Russian forces using new tactics in Lyman direction: Details from serviceman

In the Lyman direction, the enemy continues to assault the frontline positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, using drones, infiltration groups, and sophisticated camouflage tactics, states Junior Sergeant Vasyl Denysiuk of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Mstyslav the Brave during a national telethon live broadcast.
Denysiuk stated that attacks are increasingly taking the form of infiltration through the brigade’s combat formations. Russian troops try to bypass the forward Ukrainian positions and enter the rear with assault groups. There, they look for any suitable spots to hide and build up their forces.
"One of the key tasks set by their command is to deploy mortar crews and drone operators to our positions. These assets cause the most trouble for Russian assault groups. That’s why the Russian command places great emphasis on trying to force our operators and mortar crews into small-arms combat," noted the junior sergeant of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade.
According to him, the sky is now literally filled with enemy drones. UAVs also accompany Russian infantry during assault operations. Most of these groups are destroyed on the approaches.
"The nights have become colder. We see enemy groups using tents for movement. Russian infantry crawl inside the tents and regularly fill them with cold air, so as not to be detected by thermal drones. That’s the tactic they use," Denysiuk pointed out.
