Russian forces target Zaporizhzhia region: Homes destroyed, two injured

On the night of May 26, Russian forces struck the village of Yurkivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The attack caused injuries and damage to buildings, reports Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
"Two people were injured due to the Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia district. After midnight, the enemy struck the village of Yurkivka, hitting a private house. The house was destroyed. The blast wave damaged nearby homes and vehicles," the report says.
Fedorov specified that the injured are a 60-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man. The victims have received the necessary medical assistance.
Fedorov reported that over the past day, Russian forces carried out 419 strikes across 12 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region, including:
- 26 airstrikes by Russian forces on Kamianske, Mali Shcherbaky, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, and Malynivka.
- 253 drones of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Zaporizhzhia, Prymorske, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka.
- 6 rocket launcher (MLRS) attacks targeted Yurkivka, Novodarivka, and Novodanylivka.
- 134 artillery shellings hit the territories of Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka.
“There were 5 reports of damage to private homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities,” the head of the regional military administration summarized.
Just over a week ago, the Russian forces struck the energy infrastructure in the Zaporizhzhia region. As a result, nearly 3,000 people in frontline settlements were left without power.
“As a result of the enemy strikes, more than 6,000 customers remain without electricity in the Ukrainian-controlled territory. Half of them have been without power for a long time,” Fedorov wrote.
