Russian forces have resumed attacks in the Prydniprovskyi direction. Over the past day, five assaults were recorded in the Kherson and two in the Zaporizhzhia directions, according to the Telegram channel of Ukraine's Southern Defense Forces.

"Since the beginning of the week, the enemy has resumed offensive actions in the Prydniprovskyi direction. The Defense Forces in southern Ukraine in the Kherson region repelled 29 assaults," the report states.

The Russian forces also continue artillery shelling, conduct airstrikes, use various types of strike drones, and carry out aerial reconnaissance.

In the past day, the Russian army used 318 FPV drones, including three strike drones of the Lancet type, and dropped 428 shrapnel munitions.

Over the course of the day, the Russian troops lost 59 soldiers in southern Ukraine, as well as 25 units of equipment:

  • 6 vehicles
  • 6 howitzers
  • 3 mortars
  • 4 drones (3 ZALA, 1 Supercam)
  • 1 surveillance camera
  • 3 motorcycles
  • 2 boats

The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck two blindages, five ammunition storage sites, a drone launch site, an observation point, and a fire position.

The Prydniprovskyi direction of the front is the territory of the Kherson region, where the fighting is taking place. The conditional line of demarcation runs along the Dnipro River, which divides the Kherson region into the right bank (controlled by Ukraine) and the left bank (controlled by Russia).

Russian losses on the front

Russia is concealing its army's losses on the front and continually lies about the losses of Ukrainian forces.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Russia has lost over 666,000 soldiers since February 2022. Additionally, Ukrainian forces have destroyed thousands of units of enemy equipment. Among the destroyed equipment are not only artillery and tanks but also aircraft, helicopters, ships, and submarines.
