Russian forces launched series of strikes on Kharkiv, fires and casualties reported

"Attention, the occupiers are launching attacks. Residents of Kharkiv and the surrounding region, please seek shelter," stated Oleh Synegubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.

The Mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, has reported an airstrike on the outskirts of Kharkiv, with details regarding casualties and damage being currently verified.

"The enemy is once again targeting Kharkiv. Preliminary reports indicate an airstrike in one of the districts on the outskirts of the city. Information regarding potential casualties and damage is currently being collected," Terekhov stated.

Occupants in Kharkiv shelled the private residential sector

Russian forces have struck a residential area in Kharkiv, resulting in one person being injured.

"We have preliminary information about a direct hit on a private residential building. At the moment, we are aware of one person injured and a fire at the site of the strike," Terekhov reported.

The number of casualties has increased to two people

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, as a result of the occupant's strike on Kharkiv, one person has suffered shrapnel wounds. Additionally, a woman sought medical assistance due to an acute stress reaction. Experts are providing all necessary assistance to the injured individuals.

The situation in the Kharkiv region

Russian forces have been launching attacks on the region almost daily, with border towns or frontline areas being the most frequent targets.

For instance, on Sunday, October 1, the enemy struck Kharkiv with S-300 missiles. Three missile strikes were recorded in the Holodnohirsky district of the city. A civilian enterprise was also hit in the enemy's attack. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as a result of the attack.
