The Russian army struck Kharkiv with three guided bombs today, June 19, in the afternoon. As a result, one woman was injured, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
Initially, Syniehubov reported that the Russian forces struck the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv with three guided bombs.
"Two hits on the ground in the territory of a children's camp and one near a residential building, causing damage," the official wrote.
Later, Terekhov added that one woman was injured as a result of the double strike. She is already getting medical assistance.
Shelling of Kharkiv
The Russian forces frequently shell Kharkiv with various types of weapons. Just a month ago, they were hitting the city several times a day.
However, Ukraine's partners have allowed it to use the transferred weapons to strike military targets on Russian territory. Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the situation in Kharkiv and the region was significantly impacted by the destruction of Russian positions and launchers near the border by Ukrainian troops.
