Russian forces hit Kharkiv with guided aerial bombs: Casualties reported, including child
On the afternoon of July 3, explosions were heard in Kharkiv. Russian forces struck the city with guided aerial bombs, according to the Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
"Be careful! It's very loud in Kharkiv!" Mayor Terekhov wrote on his Telegram channel.
He said that according to preliminary information, strikes occurred in the nearby suburbs.
Syniehubov, in turn, reported that Russian forces were striking the city and district.
"Preliminary information: there were at least three guided bomb strikes in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv. Details of the aftermath are being clarified," added the head of the Regional Military Administration.
As reported by the Mayor of Kharkiv, there is information about the collapse of one building and damage to another. A child was rescued from the rubble.
According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, two private houses were destroyed as a result of enemy strikes on Kharkiv.
At another address, there was a grass fire. There were no casualties.
Terekhov reported that another child is under the rubble of a destroyed house in the Kyivskyi district of Kharkiv.
According to Syniehubov, four casualties are currently known - an 8-year-old boy, a 74-year-old woman, and a 75-year-old man. All of them were hospitalized.
Medical assistance was also provided on-site to a 38-year-old man.
Terekhov clarified that the information regarding another child trapped under the rubble has not been confirmed.
The rescued 8-year-old boy is receiving the necessary medical treatment. All relevant services are currently on-site.
As reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration, the number of casualties in Kharkiv has risen to six. Medical assistance was provided on-site to two more women.
Russian strikes on Kharkiv
On June 27, the Russian forces launched an air strike on Kharkiv. Later, the prosecutor's office clarified that the Russians used FAB-500 bombs with a planning and correction module for the first time.
On June 30, Russia dropped a FAB-500 bomb on Kharkiv for the second time. The strike destroyed the Nova Poshta terminal. There was also a fire in an area of 200 square meters. Eight trucks were on fire, and another 6 trucks, 3 industrial and warehouse buildings, as well as a medical facility were damaged.
In addition, yesterday, July 2, the Rissian army used FAB-500 bombs to strike Kharkiv again. Four people were injured in the attack.
