Russian forces hit Dnipro with drones - Fires reported, casualties confirmed

Late in the evening of April 8, Russians attacked Dnipro with drones. The attack caused fires and resulted in casualties, according to Serhii Lysak, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
Late in the evening, between 10:30 PM and 10:45 PM on April 8, a series of explosions were heard in the city. The Ukrainian Air Force had previously warned that several groups of strike drones were heading toward Dnipro and Kamianske.
Later, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, reported that as a result of the drone attack, fires broke out in the city. Preliminary reports indicated damage to private homes and vehicles. It was later confirmed that there were casualties.
"Preliminary reports suggest six people were injured in Dnipro due to the attack. One woman is in serious condition. Doctors are assisting," Serhii Lysak wrote at 11:15 PM.
At 11:36 PM the number of injured in Dnipro rose to 10. Six people were hospitalized. One woman remains in serious condition, while the others are in moderate condition.
"People have lacerations, shrapnel injuries, bruises, and head injuries. Some needed assistance due to severe stress," Lysak said.
At 11:49 PM, Serhii Lysak reported that as of now, 14 people are known to have been injured in the drone attack on Dnipro, aged between 18 and 87 years.
"Half of the victims are hospitalized. One person remains in a serious condition, and the rest are in moderate condition. Doctors are constantly by their side," the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration added.
Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov stated that residential buildings were once again targeted. At least two hundred windows were shattered in high-rise buildings.
"We are clarifying the details of the destruction. City hospitals are receiving the injured. Utilities are awaiting signals from rescuers and the police to start their work," the mayor wrote.

In Dnipro, five high-rise buildings were damaged as a result of a Russian drone attack. Some of these buildings sustained damage to gas communications. There are also reported destructions in the private sector.

Dnipro was also heavily attacked by drones on the evening of March 28. As a result of the attack, residential buildings were damaged, and fires were reported. By night, four people had been killed and 19 others injured.
