Russian forces conceal losses in Ukraine's Kherson region through repression

The command of the Russian army is trying to conceal the real scale of its losses in Ukraine's Kherson sector, reported the partisan movement Atesh.
"The command of the Russian forces in the Kherson sector is concealing the real scale of losses by introducing unofficial rules to underreport the number of dead," the partisans reported.
According to them, soldiers who try to tell the truth face harsh punishments and field courts.
Agents among the service members of the 385th Air Assault Regiment said that due to significant losses from FPV drone strikes, artillery, and fighting on the islands, the command has ordered that no more than ten dead are to be recorded. The rest are listed as missing or wounded.
"Soldiers who try to report the truth to higher command are brutally punished. They are subjected to field courts, thrown into pits, and kept there for weeks under the sun. Those who speak the truth are publicly and brutally beaten," the movement stated.
The Russian military command is regrouping forces to conduct several operations at the operational level along the front line — in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia sectors. These actions are part of Russia's broader strategic plan for 2025.
