Russian drones fly into Belarus four days in a row
For the fourth consecutive night, Russian drones have flown en masse into Belarus during attacks on Ukraine, prompting Belarus to launch its aviation in response to the perceived threat, citing Belarusian monitoring group Belaruski Hajun.
On the night of November 13, at least 12 Russian drones were detected crossing from Ukraine into Belarus. The first drone entered Belarusian airspace around 10:09 PM Kyiv time near the town of Bragin. It moved back into Ukraine’s Chernihiv region before re-entering Belarus through a so-called corridor, ultimately flying toward Ukraine’s Kyiv region.
In the early morning hours, another drone was detected near Rechytsa, flying in the direction of Svetlogorsk/Babruysk. This Shahed drone was reported to be 70 kilometers from the Belarusian border. It then looped around and exited towards the Kyiv Reservoir, covering a total of around 200 kilometers over Belarusian territory.
According to Belaruski Hajun, at least two of these drones were downed within Belarus.
The monitoring group emphasized that this is the fourth night in a row that Russian drones have entered Belarus en masse. For the first time during these incursions, Belarus has scrambled its air force in response.
