Russia strikes Ukraine with 90 drones and 6 missiles: Air defense's work reported
On the night of November 13, Russia launched a large-scale air attack on Ukraine, using various types of missiles, guided bombs, and attack drones. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, 96 Russian air targets were recorded.
Russia struck Ukraine with:
- 2 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles fired from the Kursk region of Russia at the territory of Sumy region
- 2 Kh-101 cruise missiles launched from Tu-95MS strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea area;
- 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles launched from the Voronezh region;
- 90 Shahed attack drones and other unidentified drones that took off from the Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Orel regions.
Anti-aircraft missile troops, aviation, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces were deployed to repel the Russian attack.
By morning, as of 10 a.m. Kyiv time, 2 Kh-101 cruise missiles, 2 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles, and 37 Russian drones were confirmed to have been destroyed over Kyiv, Poltava, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Cherkasy, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, and Kirovohrad regions.
In addition, 47 Russian drones were detected in different regions of Ukraine, but the locations of their crash or destruction are still being determined. 2 Russian drones have left Ukrainian airspace, heading towards Belarus and Russia, and two more remain in the air, where active combat operations are ongoing.
Russian combined attack on Ukraine
At night and in the early morning hours, Russian occupation forces again launched an air strike against Ukraine, using missiles, kamikaze drones, and guided aerial bombs.
In addition, 6 Tu-95MS strategic bombers equipped with missile weapons took off from Russia that night.
