Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Kyiv during the night of November 26. However, thanks to the efforts and resources of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' air defense, all enemy aerial targets were destroyed, and there were no damages or casualties in the capital, reports Serhii Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration.

Enemy tactic during the attack

The administration noted that Russian drones approached the Ukrainian capital in waves, in groups of varying sizes, and from different directions.

The air alarm in Kyiv lasted for over 5 hours that night.

Air defense operations

According to the official, Ukrainian air defenders identified and destroyed more than a dozen Russian drones that posed a threat to Kyiv.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration added that information regarding the exact number and types of enemy drones would be disclosed later by the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

"Preliminary, there are no damages or casualties in the capital," Popko's statement said.

Nighttime enemy drone attack

Starting from the evening of November 25, Russian forces launched several waves of kamikaze drones across Ukrainian territory. During this mass attack using Shahed drones, air alarms were declared at various times in nearly all regions.

In particular, due to enemy drone strikes in Kyiv, air defense systems were active, and a series of explosions were heard multiple times throughout the night.

Russian forces also attacked Ternopil with strike drones. As a result of the enemy strikes, the city's electrical infrastructure, which supplies power to the area, was damaged. Significant issues with water and electricity supply are still being recorded in Ternopil.
