In the Khmelnytskyi region, as a result of a Russian drone attack on May 18, a grain elevator owned by Kernel was damaged. Due to the destruction of storage facilities, part of the grain spilled out, confirmed by Kernel.
The elevator was damaged on May 18 during another Russian drone attack on Ukrainian territory. As a result of the strike, storage facilities and containers used to store grain were damaged at the enterprise. Due to the destruction, part of the grain spilled out.
The company reported that no employees were injured in the attack.
Specialists are currently assessing the scale of the damage and calculating the amount of losses. Work is also ongoing to eliminate the consequences of the strike.
Russian drone attack
On the night of May 18, the Khmelnytskyi region was under a Russian drone attack for several hours. Air raid alerts were repeatedly triggered in the region, and air defense forces intercepted enemy targets.
Air defense forces managed to shoot down 29 enemy drones over the region during the night.
On the night of May 19, Russian forces attacked the Kholodnohirskyi and Novobavarskyi districts of Kharkiv with drones. Fires broke out in the city, and residential buildings were damaged.
It was also previously reported that Russian forces struck gas infrastructure facilities in the Chernihiv region, damaging critically important equipment.
