Russian drones attacked Odesa on the morning of June 8. A public transport stop where people were waiting at the time came under attack, according to Serhii Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration.

Consequences of the attack on Odesa

"The enemy attacked the city. Preliminary reports indicate two people were injured. They were waiting for transport at a bus stop," he said.

Later, the head of the military administration clarified that the number of injured had risen to three. The wounded included two women aged 64 and 65, as well as a 55-year-old minibus driver.

All of the injured suffered shrapnel wounds. They were hospitalized and are receiving the necessary medical care.

The attack also damaged a minibus, a bus stop shelter, and a dispatch center.

Attack on the region

Russian forces also attacked the southern part of the Odesa region in the morning. Equipment at one of the energy facilities was damaged, according to regional governor Oleh Kiper. Power supply disruptions affected more than 2,000 consumers.

In Chornomorsk, a drone hit a residential building, but no injuries were reported, Kiper added.

All relevant services are currently working at the strike sites. Efforts to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack and assess the damage are ongoing.

Russian attack on Ukraine on June 8

A Shahed drone struck a Ukrposhta hub (Ukraine's national postal service) in the Kholodnohirskyi district of Kharkiv. The building was partially destroyed, and a fire broke out over an area of 1,000 square meters.

In Konotop, in the Sumy region, Russian drones struck a residential area. One person was killed, and three others were injured.

Overall, Russia launched 155 drones of various types at Ukraine overnight. As of 08:00 a.m., air defense forces had neutralized 124 enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.

Hits by 20 drones were recorded at 17 locations, while debris also fell in several areas.
